Yes, you read right. This is a post about ONE room, but it's such a beautiful room. It belongs to Bella, a young talented woman who lives in Canada. That one Suzani piece in the pic above (she thinks it's originally from Pakistan or Afghanistan) got her started on a smorgasbord of colors that she has used in her room, albeit very tastefully.
An Asian suzani piece
A pretty pile of cushions
A surma dani used for kohl
Isn't this a great idea for a DIY?
A beautiful line-up
A decorative box; Ikea finds in the background.
Now I am thinking of having this done for my daughter's room!
A beautiful azure mirror that lends part of it blueness to the curtains in Bella's room
Love the daybed!
This is my fav among Bella's pics. It's her bedside table.
...and finally, this is how it all comes together!
For all those who are looking for Asian-inspired decor ideas, Bella's room is excellent inspiration. She has managed to achieve balance in decor. She didn't go overboard, yet her room looks exciting, fresh and it definitely has the Asian/ Arab influence.
Bella has a lovely blog titled "What you give away you keep". Isn't that profound? The title is actually an old Kurdish proverb. Hop over to her blog now, do... and tell her you saw her lovely room on The Keybunch!
Think your room is Keybunch material? Then what are you waiting for? Send us those pics! Oh... and do read this decor article that I was commissioned to do for IndusLadies.
