A successful career as a Chartered Accountant, a tiff with a boss, followed by a deep desire for the freedom to do what she wanted, whenever she wanted, the wish to try out her creative side that had been lying dormant for years......these and a host of events culminated in the setting up of Tappu Ki Dukaan. Sneha Raisoni's journey has been really interesting and that's what drew me to do this feature...you know I always love a good story in my posts, don't you?
Well, this one speaks of one woman's spunk, craziness and grit all rolled into one. The capital came from her savings, and some from borrowed funds from friends, and on 13th December 2009 Sneha opened her store at Fort Mumbai. She hasn't really looked back since!
|Doesn't she look happy with her new-found freedom?|
Tappu Ki Dukaan is a regular retail outlet. Sneha doesn't manufacture any of the stuff she retails. However, what catches every visitor's eye are the nicely priced, and very unique products, making it a great place to head to when you want those apt gifts for friends and family!
The store decor is something else that you will love! You will love the intriguing cream wall that houses a mural that looks like a spider web having spun its way along it. Sneha has very creatively incorporated a lineup of photo frames along this web, so as to make sure not a square foot of space goes to waste!
I'll leave you with some pictures:)

Sneha has priced all the products at her store very reasonably. The price range starts at Rs. 40 and goes upto Rs. 4,000. “I want my store to cater to a segment of people who want something unique and can get it without burning a hole in their pocket. I have incorporated products that appeal to me as a consumer and I hope my customers will enjoy the mixed bag that I have created for them just as much”.
Way to go Sneha! A little shop with little knick knacks and a lot more is how best one could sum the experience at Tappu ki Dukaan aka Tee-K-Dee.
